A delayed Premier League 2020-21 season kicks off on Saturday, September 12 with reigning champions Liverpool at home to Leeds United.
Leeds are back in the top flight for the first time in 16 years and face arguably their toughest test of the entire campaign on the first matchday.
Last season’s second and third-place finishers Manchester City and Manchester United will sit out the first gameweek due to their European commitments in August. The exact time and date of their first games will be confirmed in due course.Chelsea and Wolves have also been afforded a couple further days rest as they begin their campaigns on Monday, September 14, away at Brighton and Sheffield United respectively.
Asenal are also on the road for their first game, though it’s only a trip across the capital to face newly promoted Fulham. Tottenham host Everton in N17. West Ham welcome Newcastle United.
